Radio 104.5 10th birthday celebration to feature Kings of Leon, The Killers
The alternative rock station will hold its 10th annual “Birthday Celebration” concerts on May 13 and June 11 at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden. Tickets go on pre-sale Thursday, Feb. 2 at noon, with general public access beginning on Friday, Feb. 3 at noon.
The station’s May 13 lineup features performances from Kings of Leon, The 1975, Bastille, Empire of the Sun, Fitz and the Tantrums, and Rag’n’Bone Man.
The June 11 show will feature The Killers, Foster the People, Bleachers, Kaleo, and Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. The station will announce more acts as the festival approaches, according to a release.
“When we realized that this would be the Radio 104.5 10th Birthday Celebration, we knew we had to do something especially huge for our loyal listeners,” said Radio 104.5 program director John Allers of the upcoming shows. “We’re proud to have created a two-night celebration featuring many of the biggest acts from the past, present, and future of Radio 104.5.”
Radio 104.5 started broadcasting in May 2007. The station was previously known as RUMBA 104.5, a Spanish-language radio station.
