On Inauguration Day, Don’t stop now: a collection of covers, a top notch 38 song set loaded with Philadelphia acts like Augusta Koch of Cayetana, Radiator Hospital, Abi Reinhold, Swanning, Hurry, The Menzingers and many more was released on the leading indie music site Bandcamp, with all proceeds going to the American Civil Liberties Union. The comp featuring version of tunes by The Beatles, Kinks, Townes Van Zandt, Lucinda Williams, Mountain Goats, Jrnny Lewis, Neil Young and others is available for the bargain basement price of $7.

Today, Bandcamp as a whole gets into the ACLU benefit game, with all of the company’s share of music sales made on Friday Feb. 3  donated to the free speech organization, with loads of artists and labels pitching in their dollars as well. Company founder Ethan Diamond explains the the move in reaction to President Trump’s executive order banning immigrants and refugees from seven majority Muslim countries in a note entitled Today, Stand With Bandcamp in Support Of Immigrants / Basic Human Values. Music from bands from the affected countries is also highlighted on the site.
