Meek Mill calls out Trump at star-studded Wells Fargo Center show

Valentine’s Day is around the corner and Meek Mill is looking for someone to share the holiday with.

Preferably, from Philly.

The North Philly rapper performed a hometown show at the Wells Fargo Center last night, playing up tracks from his latest album DC4. The concert, dubbed Meek Mill and Friends, featured a star-studded lineup of rappers he hand-picked.

Meek brought out Yo Gotti, Guordan, Shy Glizzy, Nipsey Hussle, YG, Jadakiss, T.I., PnB Rock, DMX, Rick Ross, Tory Lanez and more

Even Sixers center Joel Embiid, currently injured, was called up onstage to dance during Future’s “Wicked.”

DMX, who was in town earlier this week to spend time with Philly homeless advocacy group Ready, Willing & Able, is one of  the legends who inspired him, he says, and  Ross the man who believed in him.

While Meek was surrounded by his friend, there was one person who was conspicuously absent: a girlfriend. This concert comes on the heels of his break-up with rap mega-star Nick Minaj

“Where the single ladies at?” he asks with a smile. “Because I’m single…I need a Philly chick.” He added that he’s sick of the fake.

Meek could also not resist getting political. “What ya’ll think about our president?” he asked the crowd.

The question was greeted with raised middle fingers from the Wells Fargo Center attendees. He asked that they be kept up as he brought out rappers YG and Nipsey Hussle to perform their anti-Trump song “FDT.”

And it wouldn’t be a Meek concert without a  little jab at his longtime rival Drake. He made sure to let everyone know that  Tory Lanez is the “realest” out of Toronto before ending with their collaboration on DC4, “Litty.”
